This Is Northern New South Wales

Another Special Place

It’s beautiful how you can live in a place for a while, yet still find somewhere unexplored.

Yesterday afternoon the morning cloud gave way to a perfect blue sky (it’s the same today), and I was lucky enough to stumble across an undiscovered gem. Having lived in Byron Bay for over 15 years, one sometimes forgets there are so many treasures hiding within your repetition.

Away from the motion of the ocean and the sound of seagulls, my mind peacefully fell deep into still water, whilst watching the sky reflect and mirror itself on the creek that glimmered before me. Intricate details and the nearby unused Byron Railway Track were a minefield of creative thought and smiling enchantment.

It was a wonderful moment of alone time, a simply childlike experience that was found just around the corner from all that I knew.

Another special place.
