This Is Northern New South Wales

Lights in the Sky

It was a race against time.

When the sky lights up, you know it’s not going to last long. There is also the art of juggling the simple appreciation of the gods and attempting to capture the marvel through a lens.

Trickles of rain could be felt on my forehead. The rumbles moved closer. Seconds between the “cracks” became shorter. It was time to drive further north and follow the storm.

The wind swings from north to south with gusts of wind. People stop in awe and look to the sky, nature will always have that final say.

Before long, the weather turned to darkness as the clock struck 9:30pm. The fantastic light show was but a reflection in the raindrop, only seen under the beams of unnatural lights.
