Featured authors get on board to help Nick Earls launch new book Vancouver with free event at Sun Bistro on Saturday

Just one of the delights of Byron Writers Festival is the many different events happening off-site, many of them free. On Saturday afternoon a group of featured authors from the festival including Yasmin Abdel-Magied  Liam Pieper, Ashley Hay and Matt Condon will amble down the road from the Festival to the Sun Bistro to help Nick Earls launch his new novella Vancouver. Each author will read an extract from the Wisdom Tree series of novellas that Nick has released every month from May this year.

These novellas explore what it’s like to be a twenty-first century family; a century of unpredictability, celebrity and terrorism. Each story stands on its own yet each deepens the others with links in characters and themes. Subtly linked, Wisdom Tree explores how humans relate to one another, what makes a family, and what makes us human.

Nick Earls’ novels have won awards in the UK and Australia, and appeared on bestseller lists in both those countries and the Amazon Kindle Store. Two have been adapted into feature films and five into stage plays.
