Screenworks 3D Camera Workshop!

Budding filmmakers this is for you!

This Thursday (3:30-5:30pm) at the Byron Bay Community Centre (SCU Room), Imax Filmmaker John Weiley will discuss 3D film logistics and Stuart Pointon from Lemac will demonstrate the Panasonic AG-3DA1.  This event is presented by Screenworks.

In this 2 hour workshop, Lemac will demonstrate the Panasonic AG-3DA1 Camcorder showing how to work the camera, screening examples of footage and talking about the technical aspects and fundamentals of 3D Film making.  Local film maker John Weiley (Antartica, The Edge) will discuss logistics of 3D film making.

50% of all televisions purchased in 2013 will have a 3D capacity (according to Sony). With increased 3D viewing opportunities in both television and cinema we are seeing a demand for 3D content increase.  Fortunately advancements in technology are making 3D filming and production more affordable and accessible.

Lemac will have examples of filming with a 3D Pace rig as used on Avatar as well as introduce some new 3D products.  They will show footage from the recent National Association of Broadcasters conference where legendary film maker James Cameron and cinematographer Vincent Pace discuss new technologies and introduce the Pace rig with ARRI Alexa cameras.

A really unique experience for filmmakers in the Norther Rivers region. Tickets $20 / $10 Screenworks members. Please book by emailing events@screenworks.com.au or phone 6687 1599. www.screenworks.com.au
