Be a Volunteer for Schoolies!

Each year around 10,000 young people come to Byron Bay for Schoolies. It sure gets hectic!!

The Byron Schoolies Safety Response was formed in 2009 and aims to provide a safe and secure environment in Byron Bay during these annual end of Year 12 celebrations using the key messages of Respect, Responsibility and Relax.

For 3 weekends and 2 weeks during November and December, a HUB marquee is stationed in Main Beach Park. The HUB is open 24/7 for the duration and is managed by a wonderful team of 100 or so dedicated volunteers, working in 4 hour shifts. The HUB provides information, support, first aid, water and friendly locals to the young visitors. Activities are offered throughout the day and night and the Red Frogs join in at night to provide pancakes and chai, walk-homes and a lot more.
