In our eyes, Kurt Petersen is one of Byron Shires most talented photographers. He is a lovely, and very humble man, who pursues his passion of photography with vigour and produces exquisite work in the process.
Born on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, Kurt had been drawn to the Byron Region for as long as he could remember.
“We often visited here for school holidays all through my childhood. Later in life when I was living in Melbourne and Sydney, I would make pilgrimages back here to go to Bluesfest, and visit the family which had all made the Northern Rivers their home. When my daughter came along, I decided I wanted a place with clean air and a sense of community for her to grow up in, so we moved here.”
Kurt’s passion for photography is expressed through his love of the natural world, the vibrant live music scene, and the laid back lifestyle of the North Coast. This week he launched his website, we encourage you to check out his beautiful work. Here is a little sample.
