Rain, Horses, & a Weathered Dragon

Pouring rain has become quite common this summer. As I headed to Lismore in poured. All the country roads from Lennox through Teven, Alstonville drenched and moody.  After my meetings in Lismore I headed out to see our friends Peter and David at The Channon Gallery, some of the roads looked liked they had been covered in iridescent purple confetti….stunningly beautiful thanks to the flourishing Tibouchina’s, and the combination of rain and wind. I came around a corner just outside of Dunoon and found horses trying to shelter from the rain under a single Macadamia tree in their paddock. They weren’t in the mood for posing. As I wound my way through the hills and back to Byron the sun shone right over the Cape and across the ocean. A day of contrasts.
