St Finbarr’s Catholic Primary School presents their famous Christmas Fair on Saturday 6 December. This Magical, Meaningful and Memorable Event is in it’s 26th year and is a much loved, highly anticipated whole Community Christmas Celebration. A Little Magic Can Take You a Long Way!

The Fair will be launched at the school on Friday 14th November at a special Assembly. Always a highlight, the kids will dress up Mufti Christmas and participate in an Xmas Fashion Parade. Santa will make a special appearance and the children will have sneak peak of what’s in store at the Fair this year.

Fair Organiser Gabby Le Brun says you just can’t beat the St Finbarr’s Christmas for a good old fashioned fete the old skool way. “We are essentially holding a big Backyard Christmas Party and inviting the whole community to celebrate with us.”

In keeping with the old-skool vibe, the 2014 Fair will feature all the old favourites including the traditional Christmas bake stall, vintage clothing, Sideshow Alley, Plants and Books, Ice-cream stall, Mega Raffle, a Made by Finnies Craft Stall, Face-painting, temporary tattoos and much more.

Le Brun says kids won’t know what do first! “Due to popular demand, we’ve brought back the High Flyer Swing Chairs (aka the Giant Hills-hoist), Slip n Slide, Kiddies Jumping Castle, Mechanical Surfboard and the Baby Animal Nursery. We added some new rides this year including a 14 Metre Waterslide, Laser Tag, and in keeping with the Magical theme, Unicorn (pony) rides,.”

The famous Finnies Christmas Prize Wheel will burst with great prizes including Writers Festival Tickets, Restaurant & Accommodation Vouchers, wine, and other surprises. “We are overwhelmed by the continued generosity of the local business community who have once again donated wonderful prizes.”
