This Is Northern New South Wales

Capcha!

If you’re after some up coming local talent, check out Capcha; a local band straight from the Byron Shire. They have only been together for close to a year now, and performing at local venues throughout the Byron Shire including the famous Great Northern. They have not yet released their first album but it’s on the way! I got hold of them to get a little insight on their views of the Byron Shire community and how it has helped with their music and love for the area.

“We feel lucky to be apart of the Byron Shire as we get great support form the local community, they are very interested in live music which certainly helps from a performers point of view! we also get to see many great bands that come through the town, playing at the local venues that Byron Bay has to offer.”

Holden Nobel (vocals/bass) and his brother Tennyson Nobel (vocals/guitar) started playing at the local markets then went on to bigger events with school projects and other performances. They then teamed up with Marley Berry-Pearce (drums) and created Capcha, where they now play at many local bars, pubs and other venues around the country.

“Its great to have the community support local musicians, Bay FM is a great radio station that supports the local artists from the area and really helps create a vibe around gigs”.

They are certainly worth checking out! for up coming gigs and a few of their tracks, check out their Facebook  www.facebook.com/capchaband  and for any bookings email capchaband@gmail.com
