Last Thursday night in Byron Bay was full from start to finished.
With the Quiky Pro all happening just up the highway there seemed to be a few people in town. A few of those people in town being Kelly Slater, Donovan Frankenreiter and US band Sprung Monkey.
The night started at Kelly’s new store VSTR with drinks thanks to the boys at Stone & Wood. Then everyone was off to the rails to see a not so secret Donovan Frankenreiter gig thanks to another good beer co, Corona. You couldn’t get near the place…
Carly Brown was there to capture the beers, laughs and tunes. Carly then called it a night and i took over behind the lens.
It was then down to the Northern for Sprung Monkey. It was the 20th anniversary of Taylor Steele’s surf film Momentum. The film was shown then Sprung Monkey took the stage and it was the early nineties all over again.
