Not all heroes wear capes! Little Splendour is here to save the day…for parents. We’ve got your back so you’ll never have to miss your favourite act. From pre-schoolers to pre-teens, Little Splendour is a whole world of wonder for the entire fam.
Fully fenced and secured, Little Splendour is designed exclusively for parents, carers and children to relax, play and unleash their inner Banksy. For the littlies, there’ll be a dedicated mini park complete with pocket sized jumping castle. And surprise visits from their favourite pirates and princesses, followed by dress ups and stories in the Storytelling / Dress up Tipi chased by a frolic in the giant sandpit!
For younger kids wanting to get their craft on, do not pass go. Head directly to the Artie Fartie Partie! This tent is for the little people who love to challenge their creative side. Activities like painting, beading, drawing, stamping and stencilling will be available for all those artie fartie kids ready to cut loose. For your older tykes, each day between 12:00pm and 4:00pm there will be Art & Craft workshops for children aged 7 – 13. Led by a professionally trained crafty person, the fun will include screen printing and puppet making, hair wreaths, pet rocks and masks! If that hasn’t tired them out, they can do some interpretive dance in the Music Garden which features lots of recycled bits and pieces hanging, to create heaps of banging and clanging.
Under the Little Big Top catch awesome musical performances, magician shows, comedy acts and traditional dance. Circus Arts Byron Bay will grace our air space with their beautiful aerial performances and Shorty Brown will bring her bubble magic.
Too legit to sandpit? In the Big Kidz Zone the rest of the pack will be sorted with serious action from sports, henna tattoos and board games, novelty races, ping pong, ball races, sack races, running races, three legged races, stilt walking, ball games and juggling. And let’s not forget table tennis, volleyball, parachute games, skipping, tug of war, totem tennis, poison ball and hula hooping. Plus a whole feast of music and dance for the whole clan to enjoy. Phew! Are you tired yet?!
Parents with babies can kick back in the Parents Retreat Tipi to feed, change and rest up, until midnight each night. This lovely tipi area is decked out with lounges and cushions for mums to relax, feed, change and play in peace and comfort away from the major festival action. We also have a change table, high chair, bar fridge and a microwave for your convenience.
Your best buddy “caffeine” will also be there to lend a helping hand, with Moonshine Roasters serving up their locally roasted brew and tasty treats each day from 10:00am to 5:00pm to keep you fueled.
Craving some “me” time? From 12:00pm – 12:00am Friday, Saturday and Sunday the KidzKlub Babysitting Club will be in full swing, with trained teachers and childcare professionals manning creation stations, playing games and reading books. This all takes place in a fully secured compound filled with arts, craft, games, movies and books and a small outdoor play area. Drop off those bundles of joy and hit the party button for up to two hours at a time max. Bookings are essential for ALL children under 4, so please book before July 1. For those who have secured Family Camping Passes we look forward to welcoming you to The Meadow, our beautiful family friendly camping zone. In The Meadow you can set up your kit with your sprogs, surrounded by other young families. The Meadow features family friendly facilities including a baby change area, bottle warming facilities and a dedicated Splendour marshall on hand to keep you in safe hands. There is an awesome timber playground for the young (and young at heart). And it’s a flat roll with a pram or stroller to the main entrance and then straight into Little Splendour. Bonus!
