On a perfect Byron Bay Sunday there were thousands of people at The Main Beach for Declaration day celebrating that 98.6% of residents said no to Coal and Gas companies in the Byron Shire.
There was music, markets, food stalls, and thousands of people formed a huge 98.6% sign in the sand. Unfortunately we did not have access to a helicopter or one of the three old bi-planes but here is what it all looked like on the ground.
