Byron Bay Favourites PLTS, ANNOUNCE NEW SINGLE ‘CALL ME OUT’ & NATIONAL TOUR

Byron Bay favourites PLTS are today excited to announce their new single, ‘Call Me Out’, released on 12th December. The four-piece will be touring throughout February in support of the single, as well as supporting Queensland heavyweights The Amity Affliction on their regional run in January.

Working again with renowned producer JP Fung (Last Dinosaurs / Josh Pyke / Art VS Science), ‘Call Me Out’ promises to be an impressive follow up to previous single ‘Astoria’, which premiered via Triple J’s Good Nights earlier this year.

2016 has been an incredible year for PLTS, with their addition to the Splendour In The Grass lineup alongside the likes of The Strokes, The Cure, and Flume after being crowned local Triple J Unearthed winners. The band have also sold out headline shows across the east coast, and have just wrapped up a national tour supporting Columbus. Further to this success, previous singles ‘On & On’ and ‘Astoria’ have been supported globally by Spotify, Alternative Press, Triple J, and US radio stations such as WICB (NY) and WESS (PA).

PLTS released single ‘On & On’ back in October 2015, which received airplay on Triple J, FBi Radio, Triple R and 4ZZZ, and has since clocked up over 500,000 plays on Spotify. Following the single release, PLTS toured the east coast playing sold out shows on the Gold Coast and Byron Bay, followed by a co-headline tour with Pro Vita, again playing to capacity crowds.

After forming in 2012 the band has been busy honing their sound and live show. In 2013, they partnered with Nick Didia (Powderfinger, Pearl Jam, Karnivool) to record their debut EP at Studios 301. In 2015, PLTS entered the studio with JP Fung to explore and uncover exciting new elements that pushed them to a new stage of development. Taking a DIY approach, the group have backed themselves on several independent releases whilst hitting the road on multiple Australian tours and landing some valuable support slots, playing alongside acts such as Harts, Hockey Dad and Kingswood.
