Sunday Safari Presents… Van She & Elizabeth Rose!

BEN SULLIVAN Hi Res
Off the back of a whirlwind year of party success, Sunday Safari is back and ready to impress in 2013. And what better way to celebrate the Australia Day long weekend than with a killer summer line up of classic names including Van She, Beni and newcomer Elizabeth Rose.

The Australian greats better known as Van She are finally setting foot on the shores of Byron Bay once again. The last seven years has seen the four-piece go from strength-to-strength supporting the likes of Phoenix and Daft Punk as well as performing at a myriad of national and international festivals. Their latest album Idea of Happiness is just another taste of the band’s ‘neu-wave’ approach, much to the delight of the Byron Bay crowds. Sunday Safari cannot wait to see what the boy’s have to offer.

Talented newcomer Elizabeth Rose will also be joining the line up. The 22-year-old has come off the back of an exciting year of national performances including Parklife, Harvest and Field Day. Layering astral beats, shadowy samples and lofty pop melodies, Elizabeth has experienced a meteoric rise since bursting onto the scene last year. Her debut EP ‘Crystallise’ has received glowing reviews with her debut single ‘Ready’, a crowd favourite.

Finally, we present to you one of the most talked about names on the dance scene – Beni. From disco to house to pop and everything in between, the multi-tasker has proved himself as one of the most authentic artists around. His most recent success House of Beni is still a hit on the airwaves. From the champagne-popping chords of ‘It’s a Bubble’ to the tunnel vision techno of ‘O.P.U.L.E.N.C.E’, the album is said to be a shape-shifting exploration of the state of dance. A must see indeed.

Sunday Safari would also like to apologise on behalf of Parachute Youth who were forced to cancel their initial set due to unforseen circumstances.

This Safari will be held at Byron Bay’s Beach Hotel on Sunday 27th of January, 8.00pm until 12:00am.

Tickets on sale now – available from The Beach Hotel Bottle Shop and online at Moshtix.
