The first line to one of my all time favourite songs is “Summertime and the livin’ is easy” well the first day of summer delivered. Yesterday was such a spectacular day, dawn at Boulder Beach, and a lazy afternoon that delivered a visit to somewhere I had never heard of that a friend insisted I must see, a not so secret spot to a lot of locals called Dalwood Falls. I watched adults and kids backflip (for the very brave and experienced only) and jump into an incredible waterhole from cliffs that are about 40ft feet high. I sat terrified behind the lense of my camera as I watched my friend and son jump. Did I do it? – no way.
With the smell and sounds of summer embracing me, taking in the beauty of this place and just watching was enough for me.
