The Endless Sunrise Finale!

Sunday night The Endless Sunrise Exhibition rolled out from 5:00 pm. We turned up at 6:00 and figured the event was already in good form as finding a car park in the vicinity was quite a task. On strolling into the Stone & Wood Brewery, the action was amplified, with people laughing, and milling about laksa’s and beer in hand. There was a rockin’ skate demo by Early Skateboards, while Milly and Merry from Rock Of Ages Tattoo had a tent setup and and were showing their ink skills on the spot! Mikel Nilsson was painting like a demon inside the brewery for a live art expo while on the stage, Positive Cahnge for Marine Life gave some inspiring and informative talks on their charity. Super Awesome had boards on display. Kyle Lionhart, Garrett Kato and M JAck Bee all played great sets to the thirsty crowd and we were treated to some Worx Studio moments on the big screen where the audience connected with the artists in their early morning moments through short video montages by Stefan Jose. The top end of the brewery was converted into a gallery space where we got to see all those stunning photographs produced over the month. The photographers spoils that we’d only been privy too via computerised platforms to this point hung as real- life prints! The art was mounted and proud for all to see and how the talent seeped the walls!

“I couldn’t be happier about how successful this event was. I’m so proud of the talented and dedicated group of photographers (The Endless Sunrise Army) for the huge effort they made over the month.  They managed to raise integral funds for for our charities and in the mean time take grasp of their art to create such a wonderful exhibition.  The plethora of images sitting side by side on that giant wall only mirrored the fifty photographers that stood side by side in friendship and support throughout the thirty days.  The sponsors and other exhibitors were a true indication of the great community influence and importance we have here in Byron Bay. We look forward to next years bigger and better event! Thank you to everyone involved in this wonderful project it has been such a life changing experience for me. We had 640 people through the door and raised about almost $9000 on the night alone! That figure will grow as we add funds from the photographers sponsors soon also.” Says Stefan Jose of Worx Studio, organiser and coordinator of The Endless Sunrise project.

Worx and The Endless Sunrise would like to thank ALL the artists, sponsors and those involved, including (but not limited to)
Kirstin Scholtz (ASP Head photographer), Alex Frings, Burg (Live Art), Real Creative Design Studio, Nikon as well as those mentioned above and the wonderful people who donated the awesome prizes on the night!
