This Is Northern New South Wales

StickyFingers this Saturday!

StickyFingers are “feeling low and getting high” as they venture to Byron Bay this Saturday at the Great Northern Hotel.

StickyFingers began the year with a bang. A weirdly whack, worship filled 2.45am New Years eve gig at Woodford Festival that had all the hallmarks of some sort of overly devoted, out of control cult.

They haven’t slowed down since, bolting out on the road for a 32-date 2-Quetilaz Tour late Feb and stayed until April and are backout again for a couple of June dates. Doing what they do best.

In the short amount of downtime between April and the start of June “The Stickys” have been hard at work getting the songs together for their next release.

The release will be called “Caress Your Soul” and it’ll be coming out in October this year. Until then the band have decided to do a small run of shows that take in Queensland and SA that they sold out on their recent tour.

The release continues the development of their fresh, clear-cut sound again without any over the top studio polish. And on the way they are melding a number of genres and add a unique twist, having created a bunch of songs about the bands four members recent break ups (bands work in cycles apparently), and a bunch of psychotic surf dub love songs.

The band’s most recent single, Happy Endings has scored great support around the country, picking up JJJ play between its Oct release and June 2012 and introducing Sticky to a wider audienc ealong the way.

Go check them out this weekend!
