The Mountain Goats are back in Australia playing a bunch of shows along the east coast. Celebrating their latest album All Eternals Deck released in Australia on the 25th of March. The quirky, indie trio are coming to Byron Bay on Thursday the 3rd of May to play The Great Northern.
All Eternals Deck doesn’t dedicate itself to just one theme, but is an eclectic mix of inspirations including century old paintings and 70’s cult films. The songs “cluster around themes of hidden things and the dread that hidden things inspire”, says singer songwriter John Darnielle. Recorded over four different studios each with a different producer the album translates into innovative, diverse and satisfying songs.
